Welcome to Anywhere Yoga!
Yoga can be a dynamic, playful, joyful, and relaxing experience! Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or a curious bystander, I hope I am able to answer some of your questions about hatha yoga, and plant a seed of wonder for this enriching, transformative practice. What is it that brings you to your mat? Is it a longing to feel the radiance of your hamstrings, the depth of your own sweet breath, or simply to de-stress after a busy day? It doesn’t really matter what is leading you there, the point is to come to your mat, be present, and take it breath by breath. There are are many ways to access the practice of yoga; visit a local yoga studio, find an inspiring book, or get yourself a yoga video or dvd.
There are people
practicing yoga in prisons, high schools, spas, gardens, living
rooms, wheelchairs, and temples……that is one
of the glories of yoga! There is no prerequisite for yoga,
no right kind of body, or an incorrect pose. We are all perfect
just the way we are, and so the yoga practice becomes a lesson
in self-acceptance, as well as a vehicle towards improved
flexibility, strength, and equanimity.
Yoga can be a fulfilling and wonderful addition to your life, it can bring your body into balance, your mind into a state of peacefulness, and you heart into a place of love and interconnectedness. I sincerely wish you all the glorious gift of this practice.
